OUR HISTORY
FaithHouse Church was originally established in 1974 in the home of Harold & Ginny Painter from a group of hungry people that had been baptized with the Holy Spirit. After meeting for several weeks in their home and outgrowing their space they began to meet in a building called the “Upper Room” in downtown Tarboro. They soon moved to the current location on 64 East.
Over the years, several Pastors have served this local church and in the fall of 2002, Pastor Mike, who previously served as the Youth Director and an Associate Pastor at a large church in VA Beach was seeking direction from the Lord. Through the Prophetic Word of the Lord and the confirmation of the Holy Spirit, Pastors Mike & Mary came to Tarboro in November 2002 and immediately fell in love with the people and the community.
Recently, after much prayer and consideration, the Pastors and Elders of the church felt it was time to move in a new direction and become a part of Trinity Fellowship Association of Churches and change the name of our church to FaithHouse Church. If you don’t currently have a home church, we welcome you to join our loving and growing church family.
